About the Role
Key Functions:
Assist with setting up tents, tables, chairs, and event signage
Help move and position speakers, sound equipment, and other heavy items
Prepare the reading area for participants and volunteers
Follow setup plans and instructions from event leadership
Work collaboratively with other volunteers to complete setup efficiently
Perform light to moderate lifting and carrying of equipment (20–50 lbs)
Ensure the event site is organized, safe, and ready before the start time
Address minor logistical needs during setup
Maintain a positive attitude and cooperative spirit while serving
Requirements
The Bible Reading Marathon Setup team supports the preparation and physical setup of the Bible Reading Marathon event. Volunteers in this role help create an organized and welcoming environment for participants by assisting with tents, seating, sound equipment, signage, and other event materials. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle physical tasks to ensure the event site is ready on time.
